Scott's Piano Bar

Skilled piano artists serenade passengers every night of the cruise at this nightspot.

Stuck right in the middle of the room is a large piano, operated by a series of talented piano men and women. Decorations for this bar are in line with the theme, piano keys are all over the walls and the ceiling here.

Scott’s Piano Bar offers several specialty martinis including a pomtini, appletini, blue moon martini and tiramisu martini, all for $8.95. Also available here is Carnival’s signature cocktail, “The Fun Ship,” which comes with a souvenir glass and is made from mixing amaretto, rum, vodka, apricot brandy, and some juice (if you keep the glass, each refill is only $6.75). Standard cocktails available at the bar range between $5.50 and $7.50.

Note that the Freedom also has some interesting frozen drinks that are available at the Scott’s Piano Bar and elsewhere. The list includes such unusual names as the Kiss on the Lips, Mocha Chocolate Getaway, and Hurricane Waves. You’ll also find more standard daiquiris, all for $7.25. Each of these drinks can be done without the alcohol for $4.75.

Champagne, wine, port, Cognac and brandy by the glass will set you back $5.25; drinks straight up or on the rocks range from $4.95 to $7.50 depending on the liquor with which it’s made.

Bar trivia is one of a handful of events held each cruise at Scott’s Piano Bar. There also are sing-a-long events, including some designed for singles to meet up.
